Coffee Tours
El Carmen mill was founded in 1930 by Don Agustín Alfaro Morán, it is located next to the town Concepción de Ataco, in the state of Ahuachapán.
For four generations El Carmen has mantained a tradicional method for processing quality coffee which is now known as Gourmet.
A pleasant climate and a beatiful panoramic view provide the ideal setting for getting acquinted with the coffee culture.
TRADITIONAL TOUR
A tour around the mill premises, with a guide that explains how the coffee is processed and transformed from the cherries to the green beans for exporting.
Watch a video that shows the entire process and taste a cup of Ataco Gourmet coffee prepared in the traditional chorreador dripper.

INTEGRAL TOUR
Visitors are welcomed at La Casona, the original farm house, where they are invited to taste a cup of Ataco Gourmet coffee prepared in a correador dripper and some typical pastrie.
Guided tour around the coffee mill with a full explanation of the coffee process. Participate in a cup tasting table and learn the basic of coffee sampling.
Includes a country lunch and a pound of Ataco Gourmet coffee.
